Location: Wollongong Region (in-home & community) Employment Type: Casual Pay: SCHADS Award casual loading penalties/allowances as applicable About the role We’re recruiting Casual Home Care Support Workers to provide in-home and community supports to participants with a range of needs, including complex supports and personal care. Male applicants only – genuine occupational requirement (GOR): This role includes intimate personal care and is subject to participant preference and privacy/dignity requirements. Specific participant details are discussed during interview in line with privacy and confidentiality. This role may involve Personal care and hygiene supports (showering, toileting/continence, dressing) Community access and transport (appointments, shopping, activities) Implementing BSP strategies where relevant (low arousal approach) Supporting behaviours of concern such as self-injury, aggression/grabbing, property damage, exit-seeking and sensory-seeking behaviours Documentation including shift notes, observations, and incident/near miss reporting Following escalation pathways and on-call guidance when required What we’re looking for Home care/community disability experience (preferred) Calm, respectful, consistent support style Strong professional boundaries in a participant’s home Reliable availability and confident documentation skills Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (highly regarded) Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) First Aid & CPR WWCC (where required) Two professional references
